The road is perfect... the best road ever from Madang all the way ..... to Erap !!
From Madang to Erap you can drive your extremley lowered super sports pimped out saloon or even a family sedan all the way with no problems, Once you get to Erap though, if you intend on driving to Lae, you will need to upgrade your tyre and suspension package to the equivilent of say a Caterpillar D12 !!! I lost 4 vehicles last week in lae, still havnt found them, luckily i was wearing my life jacket when the fell into the "potholes".
