Our tradition is dying and local motuan children are these days getting meaningless tattoos before the traditional one and are turning into a lost race. I have done a few for my 2 daughters and sons who are 14, 11 and 9. Normally, we would get them at the age of 4 or 5 so we didnt remember the pain as much. This is preferably for motuans who are interested or evenif you are part motuan it wont cost anything but these are really sacred and part of the Motuan tradition. If you are interested leave ur e-mail addy and i'll get back to you. We use a bone chisel and indian ink: WARNING: This is not like a normal tattoo, this will really hurt. For you young ones ask your bubu's or aunties about and if interested make sure you have permission from your mother.
Consequences:
*No Showering for 5 days
*Do not pick at tattoo
*It is permanent and will not be able to be removed
*Sacred not for showing off with
