of course! the place isn't like back in the day. it's really developed now. there are heaps of shops open there now - clothes shops, video rental, a fast food place, and lots of others. some even open til 8pm like the video rental and the fast food.
mate if you haven't been there to see it, you should go sometime. it's safe to walk around even in the evening.

East Taraka is Ok if you want to live there consider living close to the mainroad, further down towards Bumbu river (W/Taraka border) then thats where we don't wanna be. Wild West is always wild visit only around day time and be with a cowboy who can screw with raskols, sundays are ok to drive in. Sorry about the idiots who commented earlier they are idiots in lae who dont know east or west taraka.

East Taraka is the best place to leave, grew up there at Girex street.

tok isave stap dont try to over do it cause thats when you attract the baddies.
otherwise treat the poor and the needy with respect and you shall be respected.
