I would like to comment on the Governor Wenge making accusations at the Madang and Western Highlands Governors about abusing their powers as Governors after being dismissed from office. I believe these two Governors are going disputing these results through proper channels and Mr Wenge should discuss or raise more questions on how to improve Morobe Province instead of wasting his time in making noises on issues not concerning to him or his province.
Mr Wenge should refrain from making accusations at other Governors and start prioritising and making things happen for Morobe Province. Since hes been elected as Governor for the second time in Office, hes hasnt done any improvements to Lae and the city has been deteriorating from bad to worse.
There is no long term plans for the Governor to fix the existing infrastructures and improving current services in the province. The influx of people coming to Lae has increased drastically in the last four years with settlements popping up along the Highway to Nadzab Airport.
The crime rate in the province is increasing and women and children are being targeted by criminals who are not from Lae but vagrants from all over the country especially from the Highlands. The Governor should
With the resource industry booming in the province, there are not enough infrastructures in place for the influx of people coming into the province to find employments and this could lead to more social issues in the province. What the Governor should do is increase his presence in the province by working with the electorates to come up with solutions to tackle and address all these issues and problems that the people are facing daily.
The Governor should engage the other Morobe Provincial political members to put their political rivals aside and come together to work as one team to make Morobe a province for people the be proud of. The Governor should take the lead in implementing new infrastructures to the city because the current structures are so old and is making the province smaller and smaller each day.
So when 2012 comes, he can have some positive things to talk about get elected again for the next term. Otherwise, step aside and let another person takes his place because it will be shame to continue to preach what he cant deliver.
I agree with you 100%.
I am an outsider or not from MP but occassionaly visit Lae.
The other day there was this story on the front page of the Post Courier on people from Morobe walking over mountains, crossing rivers just to sell their coffee. This is a real eye sore and it really broke my heart though they were not from where i come from, they were PNGeans.
Mr L. Wenge, did you see that? What will you do about it?
the substantive issue is with the relevant provisions of the organic law which have been fully complied with by both governors. Mr Pomat was correct in adressing gov wenge's mandatory hot air as a question of legislation. once again gov wenge proving that he really knows nothing
AS LONG AS WENGE IS IN OFFICE, THE POT HOLES WILL GROW IN PROPORTION WITH HIS EVER GAPING MOUTH, AS LONG AS WENGE IS IN OFFICE OL PICK-POCKET BA RULIM STREETS, AS LONG AS WENGE IS IN OFFICE, WARA NA POWER PROBLEM BA STAP YET, AND AS LONG AS WENGE IS IN OFFICE, HE WILL NO MATCH WHAT THE GOVERNOR FOR NCD HAS DONE FOR PORT MORESBY. MR wenge you are just a waste.. spends all his time in court instead of his danm office... when people come to see him about issues they are told to come back tommorrow coz he is too busy or in a meeting... how can he possibly be busy if there is nothing to show for it in the province. stop wasting the province potential...... morobe needs to move on and he is the fool who is stopping progress
THE PROVINCE STARVES WHILE THE LEADERS FEAST......................
YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND MR WENGE AT AROUND 10.30 a.m. drinking red wine at the Melanesian hotel. You wanna find Bart Philemon
he hides out at the bar of the Lamana in Moresby and Sam Basil hangs out at all the bars in Moresby and lae.How can this lot do anything for Morobe.
no ting ting all spuk man
My post here is to the so-called voting population of Morobe Province. You all have repeated the same mistake by continuing to vote for Mr. Wenge into Parliament. When Mr. Wenge was first voted into Parliament and after his consecutive election as Governor of Morobe upto now, the majority of people from Morobe Province, especially in Lae, always talk about the pot holes, ever increasing law & order problems, Wenge's empty promises eg: 1000s of kina to Schools in Morobe Province, Wenge supporting illegal settlements o remain in Lae, mis-use of funds, & the list goes on and Mr. Wenge's nickname "Con Man". But have the so-called voting population of Morobe realised that, they are the ones to be blamed because they have continued to make the same mistake. That mistake is "their vote for Wenge".
The fact of the matter is that; Mr. Wenge is NOT a Morobean (Em strongpela highlands tru tru, he is a typical highlander) therefore he does not have the people of Morobe at heart, he does not care about the ever-increasing potholes in Lae city, every 5 years he collects votes in Kabwum, Menyamya, Morobe Patrol Post, Markham & other isolated areas in Morobe Province but after his election win, he doesn't give a damn whether the very basic services reach out to those areas.
My appeal to the so-called voting population of Morobe Province is that: You all have continued to make the same mistake by voting him to Parliament so comes 2012, SIMPLY DO NOT VOTE FOR WENGE.
If the so-called voting population of Morobe Province votes for Wenge in 2012, then all I can say is: SORI TRU. You all can complain again and again, talk about the same problems, and remain the same forever without any improvement.
Lastly, I would like to challenge potential Morobeans out there to stop hiding behind your small box and pretending that everything is alright in Lae and the rest of Morobe Province. For the sake of our people of Morobe Province, stand out now to take the leadership challenge comes 2012.
Luther Wenge is a laughting stock...
- He's got a very prideful character.
- A political gimmick.
- Trying his very best to be seen as a leader!
On that note:
All the major companies in Lae should boycott paying tax to the provincial/National government because even the basic infrastructures such as the road condition is very, very poor(not to mention about influx of vagrancy, law and order issues and the list goes on....).
L. Wenge should be pushing for a new bill in the parliment where all political leaders(Provincial & national) should declare & publish their personal assets to the public before or upon occupying the office...in the two daily papers.
Political leaders should be hold accountable if basic services are not reaching the people.....
Luther Wenge has declared himself as the only FULL BACK of Somare Government
December 26 2009, 7:54 PM
So what the hell is full back doing without being recorgnised by his striker the PM. The winger and the backer (Huon Gulf & Kabwum Mps) and the Lae Mp. These are the very MPs of Morobe who currently has powers directly/indirecly to deal with Lae Roads.
Morobe people are very stupid people to have Wanker Luther reelected, shut up and enjoy the potholes.

Morobeans are "wanbel lusim sin" type of people. Smart people like Wenge and other MPS and conn artist can conn them very easily. There are also lots of" talk no action I know it all" crowd in that group.
Some are very lazy to develope their land themselves thus selling it cheaply to others for settlements etc. Once the settlers become successful, they try to get more money or cause problems for the business owners. Criminals used settlements as their operation network centers.
All the land around Lae city and up the Okuk Highway are rapidly taken over by leagal as well as illegal settlers. Luther cannot say anything, because these are his voters. Settlements are not bad, they provide very cheap accomodation for the city businesses and government departments and help with taxes etc. If only the relevent deparments and customary land owners come together and draw up proper planing, allocation, settlement rules and all the checks and balances, I think the problems they cause will be limited.
Also, If only all Morobean MPs have some good sense to put their political differences aside and work for the benefit of the Morobe people and the country, we will see real change in Lae and Morobe Province.
Lae potholes are here to stay as long as no leaders are prepared to work together to solve these problems however choosing to play the blaming game.
People who don't see the City Lights never know about the existance of Pot Hole, Medicine and the civilisation.
All they want is the Clowning Speeches of the Luther Wenge when he arrives in their villages he makes them laugh and happy and they will vote him back.
Menyamya, Markham and the Kabwums the very remote areas with lots of population see the Governor runs between the two worlds and can easily con the most populated with little education to understand the issues of this real world.
Who ever wants to challange him must start now by visiting those out laying areas.
