Im troubleshooting a mail delivery problem for a domain, and i've used this dnschecker for the first time. It appears to have trouble contacting n2.nic.uk, but I cant reproduce these errors.
I do a: dig @ns2.nic.uk -t a xena.efar.co.uk
and i get a response, however dnschecker says:
12.7% of queries will end in failure at 217.79.164.131 (ns2.nic.UK) - failed to resolve XENA.EFAR.CO.UK due to 217.79.164.131 - query timed out
2.3% of queries will end in failure at 217.79.164.131 (ns2.nic.uk) - failed to resolve xena.efar.co.uk due to 217.79.164.131 - query timed out
btw. Im investigating why our mailserver hasnt delivered mail to @sparesfinder.com (error: no such domain).
I'm having exactly the same problem. Please post any progress you have relating to ns2.nic.uk.
p.s. Your problem with sparesfinder.com might have something to do with missing NS records. Have a look at http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=sparesfinder.com for more information.
