Response to Lange & White Gold: anybody know why WG watches are priced....

...I think this has to do with the other materials making up the alloy, WG is Rhodium/gold, YG is gold/copper/nickel/?, and RG is gold/copper. Rhodium is more expensive than copper and nickel; I believe that it's also more difficult to alloy oweing to its inherently different chemical properties.

As to why the WG DEPLOYANT only is more expensive, I can't say. I was quoted the same price for the RG, WG and YG deployants at Wempe London, but settled for an aftermarket one instead.

Best wishes,

Ming
