Response to What a stunning watch.....
It's a really breathtaking watch that I think really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. I never "bit" on one of these after seeing various photos 4-5 years ago. However, when I finally got to see one in person (belonging to a collector named Dmitry) at a Lange gathering in NYC, I was blown away, and I'm REALLY glad he was kind enough to bring it over from Russia to show me. I already had the L1 MOP guilloche with same dial pattern, so I thought the 1A would just be a "glitzy" version of that watch. I was wrong -- the YG and black printed markers go really well together, and the YG background on the date wheels is a pleasure to see. If Lange had put its usual black-on-white datewheels on this watch, it'd be far less attractive, IMHO.
