Response to The same thing also happened to me --
Thank you all for your suppport and assistance. I have contacted Lange who responded promptly with the same information many of you have given me. The watch is off to the authorized service agent in NY. I spoke with him earlier this morning and he told me he would fix the watch immediately. Although inconvenient, all in all, it could be worse.
It is interesting to note the number of us with the same or similar problem. Thank you all again.
