I would say your buddy got robbed for 10k. Considering Ford sells the 600hp crate for 7k and porting the heads and switching the cam you can achieve 700 easy all for 7500. If he sells it for 3500 I will take all of them he's got! Ok to end this non-sense with this Fe story, how many truck and tractor pull guys run FE's? How many "quick"(8-9 sec.) drag racers run FE's?? Oh how about road racers? I have several road race customers that run 385's. All I originally said was the 385 is better for making serious power. And by the way its really simple to make over 1.5hp per cube on the 385. So at 472 inches X 1.5 = damn near 700 hp for cheap my friend. Oh ya how much for a 427-428 standard bore bare block, sice your 352 heads are 20.00 bucks at the local junk yard?? How long was the 427-428 produced for??
