I have a 66 Galaxie with a stock 352 4bbl that I'd like to get rebuilt and modify for better performance. I'm not looking to race the car (except maybe a pass or two at the strip now and then) but want to boost the performance and keep it on pump gas. I'm looking for suggestions anyone may have that would help. Here are some of the ideas I have:
1) Boring .030 over
2) Adding Edelbrock aluminum 390 performer heads and carb (not sure of the best carb size...650cfm?)
3)Adding a hotter cam (Suggestions for a good cam are welcome)
4)Headers (I know Crites makes headers for a 66 Galaxie....does anyone else?)
5)Replacing stock crank with a 390 crank
I've never done performance mods before, so any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!
