427 identification

I have an old Devin that was purchased by my uncle in 1965 from AK Miller, the old hot rodder. The car won the Pikes Peak Climb in the open SCCA class back in 1963. It has a Ford 427 which was built by the Arizona Proving Grounds for racing. The car was put into storage in the late 60's and is in my parents pole barn. I have a renewed interest in the car and need information. Where can I find the engine codes and serial numbers? How do I tell if it is a side oiler, top (center) oiler and which intake manifold in on the engine.
