I am looking to convert my 1968 360 into a 390 Frankenstein Motor. I have a 390 crankshaft and a set of the 6.49" 390 rods. I will run a 750 Holley carb, 2" carb spacer, 1967 Edelbrock aluminium 4V intake off of a 67 Falcon GTA390, 69cc chambered Low riser heads w/ 209/165 CJ valves built by DJ's Machine out in Arizona, Erson Full Roller 1.76:1 Rockers w/ Crower pushrods, Comp Cams 268H Cam & Hydraulic Lifters, S.A. True Roller Timing set, Melling H.V. oil pump w/ HD Dist Drive Shaft, D.U.I. Distributor, 8MM MSD Plug Wires, and a set of Dynomax Black Jack headers and H-Pipe Kit and Dual Flowtech Purple Hornies.

My question is would I be able to use the 360 pistons w/ the 390 crank and rods. From what I have read the 360 pistons where what ford used to make the 390 4V Car Motor. I would guess if I could run the 360 pistons they would give me anywhere between 9.5:1-10.5:1 Compression ratio with my head and valve combo. And somewhere between 320-370 HP and the same if not a little higher on the Torque side of the house. What do you guys think??? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Don
