I recently picked up an FE, and I need some help verifying what I actually have. Here are some of the casting numbers:

Block- C7ME-A . I used a dial caliper to measure the bore and came up with 4.057 on the one bore measured.

Connecting Rod- C7TE-A; Christ's book describes as long rods, 66-77 330, 73-78 330HD

Heads- C6AE-R Christ's book describes as '66 352 only

Intake- C6AE, also has 9425-G and the letter "S" cast on a runner. 4bbl intake

I couldn't rotate the engine to see the crank casting number. Also, the one piston I pulled has 390 and 4V cast into it, and it is a flat-top with 4 valve reliefs, photo here http://suprfile.com/get.php?id=733ajf7

The engine was described to me as a "1966 ford gt 390 motor" from a Fairlane. It also had exhaust manifolds with a D2T part number (not sure the full number, didn't think to write it down.

Some things that confuse me are the slipper skirt piston, which Christ says is a 390-up piston with the long rods. The engine did have the blue Fel-Pro head gaskets on it, so I assume the 352 heads could have been put on at some point. Could this engine have been in a Fairlane with the truck exhaust manifolds? Does the "S" on the intake indicate it came off an S code 390?

Anybody care to take a guess as to what I have? Thanks in advance.

Kris
