Hello
I am new to this forum, so I apologize if this inquiry has already been discussed. With that said, may I ask if anyone has a 427 SK or XE Ford block? Know of any for sale? Any close up pics for reference? (Notable characteristics are side oiler construction, cast in or hand stamped SK, XE or $ markings, and it possibly has: an o-ringed (dry) deck and water outlet passages at both top rear corners of block).
Finders fee $ gladly offered for help leading to purchase of such a block.

Rob

and was the designers designation off the drafting boards, and "XE" stood for experimental engineering, and was found on race engines as a stamping for non production applications. I first saw these on the original Cobra 260 engine valve covers, but the 75 built were recalled by Shelby and replaced with the 289 on about 50 of the cars for free upon owners request. That makes a true 260 car very rare. these had "Cobra" lettered valve covers with no breather holes designed in.
