I've got an original Tri-Power Offenhauser intake I'd like to let go of due to the fact that I recently decided to go with a Holley fuel injection on my 390 instead of the three deuces. This is an intake only, all bolt holes are in perfect shape, no cracks, machined surfaces are in 99% condition finish is factory, no grinding or polishing done on this intake. I figured I'd let you guys know about it instead of putting it on e-bay since someone on here might need it and truly appreciate it. Once again, this is just the low rise intake, no carbs, no linkage, no fuel log. If you would like the numbers off of it let me know I'll post them but I don't have them handy because the intake is in storage right now. So if anyone is looking to buy a 3x2 Offy Intake make me an offer. I may even be able to send pics if you want them, provided I can get my hands on a digi-cam.

Does 3X2 mean you use three two-barrel carbs?

What is the stud/bolt pattern for the carbs.

I have a 69 428 on propane and I want to run more than one impco mixer since they are only 425 cfm.

The intake is set up to bolt down three holley 2-barrel carbs on one intake, and the bold pattern is standard Holley two barrel flange, only three of them in a row from front to back on the intake. The center one runs off of the throttle linkage, while the front and rear carbs run off of engine vacuum. The two outboard carbs are of the same part number and flow rating, and the inboard (Center) carb is another part number. Holley still sells both types of carbs. The link below has more detailed information and even a comprehensive guid to setting up a 3x2 fuel system. Click on the link for the big block setup in the third paragraph. I think it's list numbers 2436/2437. The idea behind the tri-power setup was a more progressive rate of horsepower increase than what a four barrel carb could offer. And it just looks flat out wicked sitting under the hood. The ford 406 tri-power that came out in 1963 and 1964 was rated on the showroom floor with 405 horsepower. Pretty impressive. If you need any more information Feel free to ask, or drop me an e-mail. As far as propane goes, it would be the same as running a single two barrel as far as I know, just a higher flow rating. That part you might have to take up with someone who has more experience running propane set ups. Hope this helps!

Since I was born after these engines where built I am always trying to learn more. I think a 2X4 intake is still what I want.

I am sticking with prpane for high climing and gas cost $4 a gallon in BC.
