Due to a financially devastating divorce, I am forced to sell my 63 427 engine which I have had since 1973. Can anyone help me with an approximate value? I don't want to rip anyone off, but I desperately need money to pay off debts due to the divorce. This engine has a handfull of 1/8th mile passes on it back in the mid 70's and has been stored ever since.

Thanks.

Eddie, Sorry about your divorce. Southern auto sells fresh 427 top oilers with a warranty for about 10,000 dollars. Your engine will have to be gone through so you would need to see how much that would cost. It also will depend on what someone will pay for it. with 12.5 pistons its not a pump gas engine. 63 427 have 2 less bolt holes for the motor mounts than the later models 65 and newer I think. Email me if you would like to talk more because I am interested in your 427 but for a street car.
