I appreciate the advise on my cam situation. My main concern is valve clearance with stock heads, vacuum is not an issue since i'm going with hydroboost brakes. I want to use a high lift comp cam on my 390. I've beefed the bottom end but $$$ is getting a little low so i've decided to hold off on the heads for now. By the way so far this forum has been the only one i've been able to get any decent advice about an FE.

With least amount of duration to have the streetable motor. I think the cam your going to get is bueno. Probably will peter out at 6000 depending on spring pressures. Bottom end typically aint a problem until you hit 7000 or 475hp.
