| I have been trying to find the part number and a source
for the valve adjusters used on : 330,332,352,360,361,390,391
406,427,359,389,410,&428 FE engines with solid lifter set up.
They are made with a friction type thread, when worn they
won't hold their position.
Any help would be great.
Thank's,
Jim

It took a lot of searching and phone calls but I found a
source for standard and slightly oversized valve adjusters.

Napa also. Sorry I did'nt see you post till now. You might need to run a tap through the rocker arms for the .003's Mine were stock OEM but staring to feel a little loose. I ordered the .003 adjusters and they would start to thread then pull and crossthread. Just a tad too big. A bud of mine hooked me up at the machine shop and opened them up to .002. Then the .003 adjuster threaded worked fine. Some guys have no problems at all but I did. I heard of an .002 adjuster that had been made at one time but was unable to locate them anywhere. BTW the rocker thread is a special size with a pitched diameter. 7/16 x 20 special form thread. Pitched top dia .4025-.3978. G. | |
