I've got a complete 68 FE engine in my garage that I bought a few years ago from a guy that needed money. He said it was a 428.Is there any way to tell without pulling the top end apart if it is a 428 or a 390? The engine had been rebuilt and ran good so I don't want to have to take it apart if I don't need to.
Thanks,Erik

You could always pull the pan off and see what crank is in there.Could have been changed but probably not.
