I am converting my fe '67 Ranchero to stick. The old engine was a c-6/390. The new one is a 428 CJ with a toploader from a galaxie. I custom made the rear cross member. I am having trouble mounting the clutch linkage. It is hitting the Hookers. I think I may have the engine too far back. There seems to be alot of flexibility in the way the block rests on the front mounts. Is there a guide on when the engine is correctly resting fore and aft?
Thanks in advance.
