Hey guys, I am new here, look forward to some good info!
I have a 73 F100 with a inline 240 6, and am contemplating swapping in a 390 (perhaps one from the 66 tbird at the moment) and would like to retain my current 3 on the tree setup.
I would love to be able to just swap the flywheel and bellhousing if possible.... I imagine these pars are what I'm looking for:

I've heard different things on wether or not the tranny input shafts are different lengths...
If not, is there a particular truck I might be able to find the tranny out of for a swap.
The C6 will come in the future, but I want to wait on it until I decide if I want to swap the column for power steering and such...
If anyone has such a tranny they want to get rid of, pease let me know the details asap, as I need to make a decision on this 390 I am looking at.
