Can I go to .080 over on a C6ME 390?

I have a good C6ME (5C21 date code) 390 block and a 428 1UB crank and would like to know whether it is possible to bore this block to .080 over to make it a true 428? Has anyone here had experience with this mod?

It has had the usual oiling mods done, ARP main studs, reconditioned C7AE-B rods with ARP bolts and appears to be in good condition and not abused. I had it cleaned and align honed and decked, but haven't sonic checked for core shift yet since I really didn't know I could possibly bore it .080 over.

I was going to just slap in the 428 crank and make it a 410, although I'm finding good piston selection skimpy unless I go for custom forged. Piston selection for 4.13 std would be much better.

I noticed that the C6ME code number crosses both the 390 and 428 block numbering scheme so wonder how that works? Same block but two different paths down the production line, or, core shifted ones to 390, non-core shifted to 428?

Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks.
