Does anyone have experience with this? I have a very interested buyer for my classic mustang with a 351 Windsor, but he's asking for a copy of the title to verify the authenticity. He has the VIN number. Apparently, the registration and taxes are complicated in Europe. Is it okay to provide a copy of the title? Any dangers? Should I scan it but cover my name and address? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I AM from Germany / Europe and imported classic US cars several times in the past....it should be okay to send a copy of the title, nobody can do anything with it here - for a registration at the motorvehicle department he would need the ORIGINAL title, a copy is worthless. I see no danger for you, also no need to wipe out your name / adress of the copy. When I am interested in a car overseas, it is also one of my questions to get copies of the papers - and it causes doubts if there is anything not readable...

Hope this helps,

Andy / Germany
