Hallo, i just put togeter my 390fe engine! I have replaced all bearings inc the cam bearings! When i installed them i noticed thatt the new nr1 bearing had a chamfering going straight out that my old bearing dident have! I tried finding information on witch way it was supposed to point at, cam thrust plate or distributor, but couldent find any! So i installed the bearing knocking it in from the inside (to get it as straight as possible) with the chamfer going to the distributor! Now when the engine is all togheter i have found info saying it should point to the thrust plate! How important is this? Do i have to tear the engine down again or will it be good like it is? Dont want to ruin the engine, but there is very mutch work tearing it down again to change the bearing... What do you experienced guys think?
