What if someone has a seizure and chokes @ the same time?

I imagined an emergency where someone is choking and seizing at the same time. You definititely DO NOT want to stick your finger in their mouth when the pt. is having a seizure, cuz you'll be drawing back a bloody nub if ye do. GROSS! I guess all you can do is let the seizure run its course, and then when it's over, do what you can. Of course, maybe turn them on their side is a good idea, but I could be wrong. Have any of your EMT/P run into these kinds of emergencies, where two things like seizure and choking are happening simutaneously? How do you handle such dual emergencies?
