That's just a horrible looking heli.

Up until the MI-8/Mi-17 it looks like Russia is getting into the model helicopter business.

Mi-2 might be ugly but its dirt cheap and this upgrade will extend its life by at least a decade.

Ka-62 max take off is 2.5t more than the Dauphin, the only resemblance is in the tail rotor.

I really cant comment on the Ka-90, its description only had 700km/h as top speed which Id assume is achieved with folding of the main rotor and using the jet turbine in the back.

cool pics

On 12 June 1992, a Greek Mirage F-1C crashed during a dogfight with a Turkish F-16 piloted by Capt. Ilhan Filiz.

On 8 October 1996, a Greek Mirage-2000 piloted by Thanos Grivas shot down a Turkish F-16D with a Magic IR missile.

Just two days after that murder, on 10 October 1996 a Greek Mirage-2000 crashed close to Semadirek island after a dogfight with two Turkish F-16s.

This is NOT TRUE. We never shot down Turkish fighter. We are peaceful country, Turkey is an agressive power, and Turkey continues to threat Greece with Casus Beli. We the Greeks are the Sheeps, you are the Wolves.

How many of the new concept helicopters' R&D can Kamov actually fund?

Kamov as a seperate entity no longer exists anyway, it is part of a much larger holding company now along with Mil

Yes I knew that, but how many of these concept helicopters are likely to see real life testing and production? Does Oboropron have alot of R&D funds?

I only see 2 major heli projects from Kamov, Ka-92 is probably aimed at export while the Ka-90 is a testbed for that kind of propulsion.

They still offering the upgrade for Mi-2. Are there still too many Mi-2 flying around? If yes, is there a point to upgrade it?
