EU helicopter crashes in Bosnia
A Spanish helicopter used by the EU's Eufor peacekeeping mission in Bosnia has crashed, killing all four people on board, officials have said.
Two Spanish pilots and two German officers died when the helicopter came down in the centre of the country.
The helicopter crashed at around midday (1000 GMT) north of the town of Travnik in a remote, mountainous area.
The EU mission in Bosnia-Hercegovina is intended to help ensure stability in the country.
"The two Spanish pilots and the two German officers on board the helicopter have died as a result of the accident," Spain's defence ministry said in a statement.
It added that the cause of the crash was not yet known.
Bosnia-Hercegovina was divided into Bosnian-Muslim-Croat and Bosnian Serb autonomous regions under the accords which ended the Bosnian war in 1995.
The EU's 2,000-strong multinational force took over in 2005 from Nato.
