Just a slight correction.

Quote:
U.K AV-8A Sea Harrier kills in the Falkland War:

1 C-130 Hercules
1 Mirage III
9 Mirage V's
1 Canberra
1 Pucara
6 A-4 Skyhawks

I think this is correct off the top of my head.

1 C-130 Hercules
1 Mirage III
9 IAI Daggers (Mirage V)
1 Canberra
1 Pucara
8 A-4 Skyhawks (3 Airforce A-4B Skyhawks, 2 Airforce A-4C Skyhawks and 3 Navy A-4Q Skyhawks).

This shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that the US made fighters are MIG killers..

True but it also show that Russian fighters are flown by amateurs.

Pakistan Airforce: The largest distributor of Indian airforce parts in Asia

Pathankot Strike
8 F-86Fs of No 19 Squadron led by Squadron Leader Sajjad Haider struck Pathankot airfield. With carefully positioned dives and selecting each individual aircraft in their protected pens for their strafing attacks, the strike elements completed a textbook operation against Pathankot. Wing Commander M G Tawab, flying one of the two Sabres as tied escorts overhead, counted 14 wrecks burning on the airfield. Among the aircraft destroyed on the ground were nearly all of the IAFs Soviet-supplied Mig-21s till then received, none of which were seen again during the War.

PAF VS Soviet Records are from the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan when the Soviet and Afghani fighters used to enter Pakistani air on a regular basis

and its missing something

PAF kills .......

1965 war with india
75 indian birds down (117 claimed by the PAF pilots)

www.bharat-rakshak.com (indian official forum)

1971 Bangladesh Civil war
india lost 75 birds according to the above source and 102 birds according to General Chuck Yeager

6 Days war
Israel lost 3 againts PAF pilots

Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan
Soviets and Afghanistan lost 10

USA - Aviation week & space technology - December 1968 issue.
"For the PAF, the 1965 war was as climatic as the Israeli victory over the Arabs in 1967. A further similarity was that Indian air power had an approximately 5:1 numerical superiority at the start of the conflict. Unlike the Middle East conflict, the Pakistani air victory was achieved to a large degree by air-to-air combat rather than on ground. But it was as absolute as that attained by Israel.

Not to mention PAF claim of 117 air kills against IAF in 1965 war. According to the autobiography of Gen. Chuck Yeager (yes, the one who broke the sound barrier), who 'refereed' the 1971 war and flew up and down the region collecting wreckage of IAF aircraft shot down by the PAF. Here is what he says, "the Pakistanis scored a three-to-one kill ratio knocking out 102 Indian jets and losing 34 of their own. I am certain about the figures because I went out several times a day in a chopper and counted the wrecks below. I counted wrecks, documented them by serial numbers, identified the components such as engines and rocket pods"

PAF also sent its pilots to many Arab nations during the Six-Day War recording 3 confirmed kills against the Israeli Air Force without losing any of their own plane.

During Yom Kippur War During the war 16 PAF pilots volunteered to go to the Middle East in order to support Egypt and Syria but by the time they arrived, Egypt had already been pushed into a ceasefire. Syria remained in a state of war against Israel. Eight (8) PAF pilots started flying out of Syrian Airbases; they formed the A-flight of 67 Squadron at Dumayr Airbase. The Pakistani pilots flew Syrian Mig-21 aircraft conducting CAP missions for the Syrians & shoot down an Israeli Mirage in air combat.

PAF has also fought & has scored ten air kills against Soviet Air force during Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan.

UK - Air International - November - 1991
" the average PAF pilot is almost certainly possessed of superior skills when compared with, say, an average American pilot. As to those who are rated above average, they compare favorably to the very best "

"man in the cockpit and his experience, which mattered the most in an air combat situation, and not the aircraft being flown." Chuck Yeager

and 5th Guard probably you should look into the articles before copying from WorldAffairsForum

90% of all kills in the modern era is someone shooting down some fooking Russian aircraft.

Even the Russian aircraft who made kills did it by shooting down other Russian aircraft.

Against Mirages and F-18s.

Not to mention a few good kills during the Korean war vs all types of US aircraft.

Only the nappies weters and superioricists of all types believe it was due to aircraft "superiority".

We know who these are; the guys with a loud dirt-box taking credit from the pilots of their own countries....

lol, the Vietnamese air force only had 21 MiG-21's! The Americans had 900 fixed wing assets in theater during the war! The Vietnamese were only given SAM's in respectable #'s, not jets. SA-2's did a number on the US air force though.

This doesn't take away the quality of the Russia aircrafts...

My chief instructor was quiet impressed with the Mig 21 as were everyone who actualy flew them and he knew the Mirage III like the bottom of his pocket.

But the REAL Russian world beater was NOT the 21, it was the 15...
