The Russian state sells a maximum of 49% of Gazprom to former member states. Turkmenistan for example buys 6%, Kazakhstan buys 10% etc. Then all the member states pump capital into Gazprom so Gazprom can buy companies around the world. All the memberstates will be dependent on Gazprom and the countries will have the same agenda.

Those quasi-states like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. They will be given 'incentives' to follow either one of the three's policies. They have no allegiances and they certainly have no desire to be back under Russian domination. They are mere petro-states and will continue to play the three against each other.

Kazakhstan has huge oil and gas supply. They can pump money in Gazprom to get return on investment in the future.

They won't be dominated by Russia. They will merely get common interests which will lead to more cooperation and eventually union, just like the EU. Natural recources will go up in the future and these countries control a big chunk of the natural recources of the world.

lol, these are not real countries. They play the major powers against each other, but at the end of the day they know what Russia is and what kind of people rule Russia and they pledge their supplies to Russian pipelines because they know the Kremlin can and will stage coups against them. These are not democracies. On the big issues they take a knee to Moscow because they know Moscow will KILL them if pushed. They look at what happened in Georgia last year with dread.

Russia doesnt need their money. Russia buys their supply for 1/3 of market price. Take a guess why they sell energy to us for 1/3 of market prices! It isnt love.

You could look at it that way. On the other hand, Russia may only have pushed them closer to Washington, which is what seems more apparent imo.

Kygystan is going to open a 2nd Russian base soon, at the same time they want to close the US base. When Georgia has been sucking US dick for year and got no help whatsoever from NATO it set a precedent. The stans realize that they are part of the Russian backyard and nothing more.

The last time Kyrgyzstan promised to throw out the Americans they took the Kremlin's money, went back on their word, and kept the American base at Manas there anyway.

All Russia's little minions are already part of NATO's PfP scheme or/and are in the European Neighbourhood Partnership, and have been given military aid by NATO to one degree or another. It's not as if they want to side with Russia.
