and will these American invasion wars to Iraq and Agfhanistan eventually lead to a big world war?

And do you guys think Germany will one day (soon within 20 to 30 years) rise to a super military power and take the leadership over Europe again and make some big change on the stance of W.Europe over the world affairs?

Be honest IMO only Germans could do something big in the near future for Europe.

Another question is actually do you guys have faith in your government? Or it does not bother with you at all?

Germany is in decline (like the rest of Europe), they will lose 7 million of their population by 2050. Still, it's nowhere near as bad as Russia who will go from 140 million to 112 million in the same time frame. I don't think there will be another chance for Germany to single handedly rise to a great power like it once was. The 21st Century will be shaped by very powerful countries or BLOCs like the EU or NAU.

This isn't merely a question of religion. It is much broader than that. Every societal integration has been preceded by conflict: clans into towns, towns into cities, cities into provinces, provinces into now states and now there is globalization. Religion is merely one facet of many (for example culture, system of governance, economy, power, etc).

Yes this actually a very broad question over world and local issues.

Reason of posting it is after reading some local newspaper and saw the fell reactions of local people over immigrants and religious issues.

"and will these American invasion wars to Iraq and Agfhanistan eventually lead to a big world war?"

No...we have seen repeatedly over the last century, except for a single instance of good planning in 1973, Arab armies are for the most part only good at keeping the unemployment rate of young men down in their respective countries. With declining revenues and social structures I can't see how they will be able to keep up with nations (other than those in sub-Saharan Africa).

"And do you guys think Germany will one day (soon within 20 to 30 years) rise to a super military power and take the leadership over Europe again and make some big change on the stance of W.Europe over the world affairs?"

No, as virtually any possible opponent would be nuclear armed by that time. Germany already displays considerable leadership when it comes to policy inside the EU.

"Another question is actually do you guys have faith in your government? Or it does not bother with you at all?"

I have faith that every 4 or so years I can replace one group of inept and visionless criminals with another. Until good and sincere people start running for government to make Canada (in my case) a better place, as opposed to the current petty quest for power by retreads and 2nd stringers, I have no other option...so why let it bother me. happy.gif
