(WAPA) - The pilot of a Suhkoi Su-27UB Flanker fighter jet of the Russian display team "Russian Knights" died yesterday following the mid air collision between his two-seat aircraft and another single-seat Su-27. All three pilots ejected, but while two of them survived even if in serious conditions, colonel Igor Tkachenko, 45-year-old commander of the team, died: according to some witnesses his parachute would have caught fire in mid air.
