Residents of a southern Lebanon village evicted a number of Hezbollah operatives who sought to establish positions and store arms in the town.

According to Israel Defense Forces surveillance footage which was released on Tuesday, the Lebanese villagers clashed with Hezbollah operatives. The confrontation, which took place earlier this week, escalated into shooting in the air, necessitating the intervention of the Lebanese army.

The incident took place in the village of Marwahin, which lies just two kilometers from the moshav of Zir'it.

The village is inhabited by a majority of Lebanese Sunnis who objected to Hezbollah's attempts to store weapons caches in residents' homes.
The footage, which is titled "Violent clashes in which Hezbollah operatives are assaulted by residents of the village of Marwahin," shows a large crowd of people interspersed with Lebanese army soldiers.

In the next clip, an unmarked vehicle is seen living the area with help from the Lebanese military. The video captures two Lebanese soldiers who prevent the crowd from approaching the departing sport utility vehicle.

In the following stanza, women and children leave the scene. The final portion of the clip shows the villagers expelling the Hezbollah operatives

I guess its good to know that not all villeges will accept Hezbollah's placement of arms, bunkers and stores inside private buildings... in return for cash. It's precisely those houses who were targetted in the last war.

Realistically, Hezbollah has been re-arming and preparing for another war since the last one ended. It's only a matter of time before there's another war.

BEIRUT Lebanese prime minister-designate Saad Hariri said on Wednesday Hezbollah will be part of the next cabinet "whether Israel likes it or not," as his bid to form a government entered its eight week.

"The national unity government will include the (ruling) March 14 alliance, and I also want to assure the Israeli enemy that Hezbollah will be in this government whether it likes it or not because Lebanon's interests require all parties be involved in this cabinet," Hariri said at an Iftar feast to break the Ramadan fast on Tuesday night.

There has been an escalating war of words in recent days between Israel and Hezbollah, which fought a 34-day war in 2006 that killed more than 1,200 people in Lebanon and 160 Israelis.

Earlier this month, Israel warned that the Lebanese government as a whole would be blamed for any attack from its territory if the Shiite militant group were part of the new government.

"If Hezbollah joins the government it will be clear that the Lebanese government will be held responsible for any attack coming from its territory against Israel," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

But Netanyahu later downplayed prospects of a new conflict with Lebanon.

Hariri, son of slain billionaire ex-premier Rafiq Hariri, was named prime minister on June 27 after his Western-backed alliance defeat a Hezbollah-led coalition backed by Syria and Iran earlier in the month.

Tough negotiations have led to a deal on the number of ministers each political camp will have in Lebanon's 30-seat cabinet, with 15 going to Hariri's ruling alliance, 10 to the Hezbollah-led opposition and the president appointing five.

But the cabinet has yet to see the light of day as feuding political camps squabble over portfolios, particularly such key jobs as foreign affairs, finance, interior and telecommunications.

I watched the video many times and i couldn`t find anything proves that those are Hezbullah men! and If they are, how do you know they want to deploy rockets or store weapons, it is rediculous!
Secondly, Marwahin is one of the very few SUNNI villages in southern Lebanon, so due to the high tention between the sunni and the shia, any move could cause problem, that doesn`t mean they are deploying rockets!
Thirdly, Hezbullah won`t EVER do any activities in sunni villages, its power depends on the secrecy and the support of the locals who are themselves the fighters of Hezbullah, Hezbullah came from the people not from Mars!

Anyone with 1st grade knowledge of Lebanon would know this is pure nonsense. Hizballah would not attempt to do anything in a "Sunni" village. Things must be good for us up North if this is the best Israel can come up with. this is foolish you saw the election in lebanon a few months back hezbollah swept up the shiite votes more so than in 2005 they lost out on other comminitys votes and support which was stronger in 2005 but the support has increased amongst shiites since the 2006 war as people see the need for hezbollah more so than ever before as it is obvious israel was not satisfied with its armys poor performance hence will come back for round 2
