In his continuing saga of trying to bring the truth of the war in Afghanistan to the public in the countries fighting in that war, his embed with British forces having been canceled by the MoD, he has returned to American forces. Here is his latest dispatchhttp://www.michaelyon-online.com/the-kopp-etchells-effect-part-ii.htm

If you go to this link, look at his photos which show a grunt's eye view of the war and I am increasingly struck by the comments other readers leave.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

Calvin Coolidge, President of the United States 1924-1929
