In my country, we have hundreds. Short list off the top of my head: Jefferson, Washington, Carnegie, Edison, Ford, Jobbs, Gates, Malcolm X, Kennedy, and a long list of many more. Much longer than 4 minutes each.

That`s why USA is a superpower and Turkey a promising regional power...

surely they are important people but none of them makes an Ataturk when you compare their achievements like total transformation of a 1000 years old state and traditions, but you are right , we definetely need more men like him.

Greeks don't idolize any one person in our history, because there are SO MANY who made massive contributions-not only to Greece, but to the history of world civilization. Same in China and in India-other ancient civilizations with a plethora of major contributors.

Only in Turkey is ONE MAN so continually praised as the be-all and end-all of every major accomplishment. It goes to show what few contributions to the history of mankind you can claim as a nation.

Ataturk did some good things for Turkey, but he was also in power when reprehensible things happened. Including acts of genocide, forced emigrations and massive violations of human rights. You're continued deifying him is nauseating, frankly.

You can dislike him as much as you want Grecoman.

ataturk was a relatively recent leader. how long after alexander died do you think he was the biggest thing in macedonia for? decades if not centuries i'd bet same goes for any leader of that calibre, especially military.

I do agree though that we need to move on.

We do, in fact lol, how ironic let me explain what happeend today, 8 of us were playing football today and basically one boy called my friend you chink eyed prick and i was like yes were mongols and what?, so he said yes look at you blood you have chinese eyes as well, then i said wait a minute, look whos talking, you have chinese eyes and he laughed and kind of felt proud, so one minute we were cussing eachother the next minute we found out that half of us had chink eyes, i basically converted 4 'anatolian turks' today into Turco- mongol turcomans.
