Russia and Israel to develop new drone together

Russian helicopter maker Vertolyoty Rossii and Israels IAI are creating a new unmanned helicopter system for Gazprom
The new unmanned helicopter complex will be used to monitor gas pipelines and in solving other problems, a source in the defense industry told Interfax.
Russian specialists will soon go to Israel to negotiate this matter, the source said.
Vertolyoty Rossii will develop a helicopter platform, while IAI will create a target payload and control system.
Experts estimate that Gazprom needs 100-200 unmanned helicopter systems with the Israeli components, he said.
The unmanned helicopter will have a takeoff weight of around 500 kilograms, he said. It can carry a payload of up to 150 kilograms.
