Not to western standards but as Advanced T-UAV.

In any case it takes nothing away from the achievement.

It should be in the Predator/Reaper class, most likely used for surveillance missions and not equipped with weapons. High aspect ratio wings signify long endurance and the large nose should contain real time data transfer equipment and high resolution sensors.

(update)
The data is out, this UAV is developed between HAC and Bei Hang as a stealthy surveillance UAV.
Max endurance >40 hours, cruise speed 160-180 Km/H (signifying a Predator sized engine and not the much more powerful Reaper class turboprop). Practical max altitude 8000Ms, MTOW 1.25 tons, payload >150Kg, landing method of automatic wheeled landing or manual controlled landing. Take off distance of <600 metres at sea level and landing distance <500 metres at sea level. <br>
This is a larger pic:

Whats important about this picture is that it seems PLAAF might already possess a dedicated UAV wing.

Yeah, it's amazing the rate of modernisation of the Chinese military, Jane's predicted something like this to occur several years ago.

When they will have sorted their little issues on production quality and top-engineering they'll be a serious threat to the west at every levels.

I once lived in France,
but left for Angleterre,
I dream up flying in planes,
and invent some sources too,
but when it comes to proving it,
it's Tampax down the drain!
