Russia currently has on order

48 Su-35
24 MiG-29K/KUB
36 Su-34
2 Su-30MK
2 Su-25UBM's (new build)
12 Yak-130's
and
12 Su-27SM upgrade packages. This will bring the total # of SM's in service to 48.

Still pathetic, but not Africa pathetic. This would be sufficient for a nation the size of say Switzerland.

And in 2009 they procured 1 Su-24MF that was sitting in the factory unfinished for 20 years! Gotta love an air force that measures procurement in 1 plane a year.

I don't get it, you guys are criticizing Russia for procuring only a very low number of new aircraft but you believe that the Russian Navy will built or have 6 carriers!
There simply won't be any aircraft to put on the carriers!

When I was young I used to pray for a bike, then I realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.
