Here's my question: Do you think that your nation's military forces need a special branch for underground warfare? Why or why not?

There is the Airforce for air dominance, the Army for securing and land, and finally the Navy for conquering the seas. However, shouldn't there also be a branch of your military that specializes in Underground(or Subterranean) warfare?(To Waffer military members, correct me if there is such a unit)

I can name many reasons why the undergrounds should be fully used; one of them is that historically, guerrilla forces such as the Vietcong owed much of their victory to the underground's ability to stealthily and efficiently transport massive amounts of men and resources through tunnel warfare. Another is that even guerrilla fighters today (Hezbollah,Taliban) are going underground, and are sometimes very successful in countering their technologically superior opponents while being resourceful.

Finally, I'm aware that many military forces today have special underground units such as combat engineers to build tunnel and bunkers while destroying those of the enemy. However, in the future, shouldn't they evolve into elite subterranean armies that have the greatest virtues of guerrilla armies(highly priced capabilities such as stealth and mobility without the high price), yet still keeping their firepower and tech advantages over guerrilla armies?

Subterranean warfare is a slow and prolonged warfare.

When I was young I used to pray for a bike, then I realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.

their is another form of subteranean warfare and that is the ability to create earthquakes.i believe this exists today from an article i read many years ago.

aparently this greek scientist "galvakos"developed such a machine,it was handed to the greek mod who promptly sold it to the french who went on to share it with the americans.in the article(newspaper)diagrams were shown and details on Galvakos.the scientist said in the paper"if they want to kill ,let them.im 86 years of age and havent long to live anyways.the french model he said was developed in to a canon that using high frequency sounds could cut an aircraft carrier in half.

the news paper was the "greek herald"
