Development is almost finished, several dozen prototypes have been built and are undergoing testing. The weapon will be procured as funds are being allocated for it in the budget but no info on what #'s. Medvedev was shown the gun during Zapad-2009, naval infantry frogmen were carrying it so it looks like that will probably be the role it is adopted for first (my opinion nothing in the article says what units will get it).

The article says it took 4 years of design work to come up with the latest model so it probably is NOT the 2003 version you can find tons of pics of online, unfortunately no info on what changes were made to the 2003 model is available.

the An-94 had bad ergonomics it never made past acceptance trials really.

That one pic of the A-91 sure looks crude. I hope production models are made with more quality than was exhibited in that one!

I don't care for bullpup designs. They don't feel comfortable when you hold them in a shooting position. At least for me.
