so now france cant lower number without high manus, this will probably aswell influence their rafale negotiations with brazil as they wanted to purchase brazilian transport aircraft

Dream on, these was a fund to buy or rent C-130J, that should be high enough for the KC-390.

they say they will try to sell the remaining 37 eurofighters to an export customer, if none is found they will purchase them because this would just cost as much as the manus of not taking them

No I don't think they can. The UK gave away some of its Tranche 2 production slots to Saudi, but it too is still required to make its full order by increasing its Tranche 3 order. The contract was set up to make it very difficult to reduce your order after securing workshare!

So, I ask again an official source about France buying less Rafale.

So do I.
AGAIN for the RETARDS:
As for June 2009 after publication of the Livre Blanc, the Rafale programe is a 294+ aircraft and actual planned delivery orders doesn't cover the programe target but the PLMs for orders up to 2015.
Rafale unit cost is computed on a 294 aircrafts target for a joint AdA/MN fleet of 300 in 2020.
When Mirage 2000Ds will have reached the end of their service life, there will have been 300 Rafale delivered to French services not including replacements for atrition.

a bit reasonability should show you that the number of planned rafales(planned 15 years ago) will not be equal to those wich will be actually built.
About the "initial target" missing their "final target" as seen for the F-22 for isntance, don't forget that Dassault manage to hold the cost to only 4% more than expected, so that, the budget was known for "decades".
only 120 rafales ordered so far
And only 2 F-35, so what ?
No really, you believe the French AF will keep only 120 planes in the future ?
fremm is also in budget only that they will get 11 ships instead of the planned 19 for the same money lol
22% over budget IIRC.

The german minister convince our stupid MoD that letting EADS doing as they wish was a bad idea.

Perhaps France will buy all 294 Rafales, but I would be surprised if they do (unless the MN a/c are part of the 294). I get the impression that the majority of the world's air arms are trying to cut back on a/c numbers overall.
Posting material from the manufacturers website is hardly what I would consider an unbiased source. Lets see what the numbers are over the next 5 years.
I can understand the UK wanting to cut back on Typhoon due to their military commitments overseas, why does Germany want to reduce numbers of Typhoon?

So as I understand the German postion it is they will take A400m in contracted numbers at contracted price for contracted performance? There only point of flexability would seem to be on delivery dates.
If that is the case then A400m is dead because airbus admits it cant produce the plane for contracted price and perfomance.
Seems like if this is the case France may actualy be well postioned to buy allot of those Brazilian transports.

Your calculations are correct but knowing french or asking a friendly
Frenchman on WAAF would have gotten you that info years ago!
The projected 294plus number has actually been so stable, it's scary!
AND it ALWAYS include tha MN birds.
And the only way so far that it would not hold would be :
A)- by engaging/activating a new plame program ( for which there
are rumors all over but nothing worthy of mention
B)- by an incredible twist AND an incredible financial effort in the
nEUROn program where one of the possibilities to be examined as
can be guessed from the definition guidelines is the use of the UCAV
as a wingUNmanNed collaborator/henchman for the Rafale.
I especially like the B possibilty as it was envisioned almost immediately
as soon as unmanned flight began edging into feasability.
Read you soon; have a good day, mate!

I've changed my outlook on the A400m, Turkey Should buy a dozen more It will fit in perfectly with TAI modernised C-130s.
On 12 June 1992, a Greek Mirage F-1C crashed during a dogfight with a Turkish F-16 piloted by Capt. Ilhan Filiz.
On 8 October 1996, a Greek Mirage-2000 piloted by Thanos Grivas shot down a Turkish F-16D with a Magic IR missile.
Just two days after that murder, on 10 October 1996 a Greek Mirage-2000 crashed close to Semadirek island after a dogfight with two Turkish F-16s.
Point of the story is: TUAF saved itself two missiles.
On May 23rd 2006, Two Greek F-16 fighters Scrambeled to intercept two Turkish F-16s that was escorting a Recon aircraft over the southern Aegean, After a short Mock-dogfight the Greek F-16 colided into the Turkish F-16. Turkish Pilot Lieutenant Halil Ibrahim Özdemir Ejected safely while the Greek pilot Lieutenant Konstantinos Kakkavas died instantly.
On December 4th 2007, a Greek F-16C participated in a night exercise in the Sporades archipelago, the pilot Lieutenant Athanasios Batsaras lost orientation thinking he was gaining altitude instead flew his aircraft into the sea. Athanasios Batsaras body was found latter on by a Turkish frigate which responded to the emergency call.
Point of the story is: Greeks don't know how to Fly.
On June 3rd 2003, a Greek F-16 block 30 Piloted by Captain Theodoros Pliatsikas crashed when a Bird was sucked into the air intake causing Engine Failure. Captain Theodoros Pliatsikas however was lucky enough to Eject and survived the incident with minor injury.
On June 4th 2009, a single seater Greek F-16 block 50 crashed in Ioannina after the plane ingested a bird. The pilot managed to eject from the plane with minor injury.
Point of the story is: Birds 2 Greeks -2 F-16s
