They are probably all dead. RIP sad.gif

How many Tu-142 are left (operational)?

When I was young I used to pray for a bike, then I realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.

People are retarded, the majority of Bear variants in Russian service are either late mod Tu-142's or Tu-95MS Bears.............the vast majority if not all remaining in service aircraft were built in the 1980's, so take it for what it is, most of these airframes are much newer and have lower fatigue rates then any B-52H still in service with the USAF or P-3C with the USN.

The Tu-95MS and late mod Tu-142's were all manufactured in the 1980's, sure, the base "Bear" design dates from the early 50's, but the models in service as of now, the airframes themselves are not that old, and thats something that a lot of people really don't understand.

My point too.  Most people don't know they were still making these things that recently.  Fascinating airplane and I hope to see one in person one day.

Here's hoping they all made it safely out.
