The DF-41 has never actually been tested, and thier is no proof yet that the program even does exsist. As far as the TEL's, some have speculated that they could be for testing a new variant of the DF-31 which would have the old MEL replaced (which leaves a lot to be desired compared to Russian models), or it could be for an upcoming larger direct accent ASAT.

A lot of people were disappointed that their was no DF-41 at the 60th anniversary parade..........but like I said, their has been nothing to indicate that the DF-41 actually even does exist as a funded program.

I heard that a while back that the DF-41 program was cancelled.. sad if true, due to the fact that china needs a delivery system the can hit worldwide and survive a first strike to have a creditable second strike role.. a peacemaker class missile would be good and also JL-2 need more range if it wants to be under cover of defences in the bohai sea sub bastion, it currently needs to patrol north of japan to get into range and it would be having to run the gautlet of US defences to get there... but the biggest problem in my opinion is that the throw weight of the JL-2 and the DF-31A isn't up to par with the number of warheads and decoys.. china need a credible nuclear deterrent, currently it is not enough also a change in doctrine is needed.. being handicapped with a non first strike pledge doesn't work as it has been more a negative than a positive to china's foreign policy

In one of the interviews that happened before the parade, a 2nd artillery general basically confirmed the existence of the DF-41 program and says that it shall be more capable than the DF-31 in both penetration ability and range. However there is no definition on what DF-41 is, they could possibly just end up naming DF-31A/B as DF-41.

Thats just a new chassis in the pictures, it doesn't mean too much, when we actually see the missile then it'll be confirmation. The chassis is good though, it looks like a fully off road capable 12x12 platform, its alot better than the tractor trailer of the DF-31 platform.
