In terms of design, there is absolutely no imagination.

This doesn't just go for Turkey

But why the **** does a gun have to look so standard!!?

Can't they just design some futuristic chase!

For instace;

Turkey's new 340.5TTi1000 32.5mm RiFle;

Reactions would be OMFG!

Honestly though, why can't they create this kind of new unique design ffs! Atleast we would stand out!

thats fking stupid. judging by the size of it, no average solider can hump that thing for a long time. not to mention 32.5mm rounds will be huge so you won't be able to carry enough to last through a firefight. We have vehicles to mount those cannons on lol.

back to topic that rifle looks very similar to FN-FAL, apparently it's called Mehmetcik-1. Based on HK designs,

You realize it was a joke, and that was from a video game right? (Somehow I don't think you do)...

no i don't think tazel has a sense of humor, in his own mind I'm sure his convinced that guns is a great idea and the rest of the world is too dumb to realize that.

Nice the 7.62x51mm caliber... 5.56 it is not worth it

So.. whatever happened to the Turkish national infantry rifle?
Is this the model that's going into production? Whats the range and the recoil like?
Any videos of it being fired? Whats the weight?

It looks like a big gun. It should have a front grip with built in bipod, aiming is much improved with a vertical front grip rather than just holding the barrel.

This is the final Rifle Design . In first pictures we saw it with Grippod (Picatinny gadget that combines Bipod and Grip) .

7.62x51 mm is a really powerful round - but I doubt anyone would like to be stuck with that caliber in CQB - burst or full auto kicks like a champ, round goes through the walls too easly (possibly hurting either civilians or allies), as closed bolt weapon it heats up at frightening rate making it less reliable in longer engagements ect.

That caliber is good for sharpshooters, or to fight in the open field.

I'm waiting for gun with 6.8 SPC - that would be the best for regular infantryman.

We in Poland do not know the concept of peace at any price. There is only one thing in the lives of men, nations and countries that is without price. That thing is honor." - Józef Beck on the outbreak of WW2

uhmm.. the recoil doesn't look good from the video. Compare the recoil on this gun with recoil on the FN-SCAR H. Does anyone have weight, dimensions and range for the weapon?

I find that the FN-SCAR H is a really good gun, the Turkish gun design should have been based on that gun, the FN-SCAR has a replaceable barrel, the heavy (7.62) and light (5.56) guns have a lot of part commonality and can be converted by changing the barrel I think.

There will be a first and secondary standard rifle. Basically on deployment some riflemen will have the 5.56 MKEK T-50 and some will have the 7.62 MPT. Apparently the Germans just started doing the same thing, two standard rifles.

The newest HK33's our soldiers are using are classified under T50, if you will note the difference between the old HK33's handguard and our new ones handguard. Therefore, its already in use so sorry to disappoint you :P

The only difference from its initial design is the fact that it doesn't have a folding stock like the original one shown in defense shows. It has the classic G3/G3A4 collapsing buttstock.
