It's like they would have to take the whole plane apart, clean it & replace most of the electronics ... worth it?

They will probably have to scrap some, but because the air frame itself is very high grade aluminium there will be no corrosion of the frame, or engine components.

The real problem is all the electronics equipment and wiring that would have been damaged, as well as hydraulic hoses.
