Kremlin orders plans drawn up for evacuating all Russian advisors and citizens from Syria

100,000 Russian citizens live in Syria, mostly ex-Soviet military advisors/engineers etc...who married locals and stayed. No details yet on the how and whens, but the order from on high has come in to start planning. The Tartus naval base will thus be abandoned. So much for Russian intervention. Vlad is cutting his losses.

Could be a backup plan. If Syria falls to rebels, it wont be safe for Russians. I think Putin is doing all it can to back Syria up, but it is up to the regime to survive in the end.
