Rodgers was in Fairbanks for the Jeff Studdert Passenger Race on Wednesday. It's a prelude — sort of a pro-am — to the Open North American Championship Sled Dog Race. He started out as the passenger on a two-man, 11-dog sled, then took over as the driver halfway through the race.
(Sounds like his Packers career, eh?)
Rodgers was part of a group of NFL players visiting Army soldiers and families at nearby Fort Wainwright on a five-day trip organized by Unlimited Potential, a Christian outreach group. The Packers provided door prizes for Wednesday's prayer luncheon.
Now I'm really wondering about this guy... I'd like to know more about him as a person. I think we all had a pretty clear view of who Brett Favre was over time. I'm looking forward to getting to understand this player a little better.
I'm the first to admitt my two limited exposures to him thus far have left me wondering what he's really like, and my opinion of him based upon those two ignore modes have left me with a less than positive thought process about him in general. I guess this means I have to stop forming opinions of these people based upon public exposure, because it's obviously a difficult thing for them in general to deal with constantly and consistantly.
