Good seeing and hearing from you again DU!! Long time, no?
Was a little worried at all the fires you guys were having ... not sure how close you might have gotten to all that!

As far as Woodson goes ... I think he'd need to have one more "really good" season in which to prove himself worthy to the committee. He lost a lot of time (off and on) with the injuries before he came to the Packers.

His position does help ... with a QB you can SEE what they did. But with D-backs, they get good and they get avoided. QBs throw away from them and their stats can plummet ... which is a huge qualifier for election.

Regardless ... I'd vote him in.

Anyone should be able to see he is one of the (if not THE) best DBs I've seen play in YEARS. Like Clay Mathews getting 'dissed' and put 5th in rank ... all because he didn't have enough TACKLES. Cripes ... the kid played better in his first year than most veterans I've seen playing after 5! I think awards like that should take into account the extent of his contributions to the team. A mediocre guy who goes high in the draft to a team who is already very good will have it a lot easier (looking good). A guy who goes a lot lower, who goes to a not so great team, who just changed their entire defense, and he SHINES ... but hardly gets recognized by awards-voters? That's just wrong.
