| I heard rumors that if he reports they're going to have him wheeling big bins of jocks and jerseys down to the laundry.
Then they’re going to have him start turning wrenches on his locker to remove it.
All of this while they finalize the deal with the Jets.
For what it’s worth, I don’t blame him for reporting, he’s following through on the required pressure to get the trade done.
I find it interesting that he seems to be leaning towards the Jets. I mean I guess that’s probably a no brainer there, he’s definitely way better than any QB on that roster. In Tampa, I just read where Garcia went down in practice today, which could spur talks there again also.
I wonder if they (Jets) have an expendable veteran DT! They have 4 veteran DT’s on the roster from last year, not to mention the ones they brought into camp. Should be interesting, would like to see them get a player for Favre in this case, and not just a pick. Maybe even a starting player and a pick?
He’d be a great fit in NY I think. He would give that team an instant chance to get into the thick, and wouldn’t get in our way. Plus he stay’s in green, even though it’s a really gay shade of green.

I also read in a report that the Packers offered Favre $20 million to stay under contract and remain at home.

Brubber, I like the way the media SKEW's things.
Let me paint an example, what if this happened:
The Packers proposed a deal to Brett Favre to pay him 20 million over ten years. In return Favre becomes available for functions, perhaps has an office, perhaps starts working within the organization towards being some corporate officer, perhaps a consultant, etc..
Now, the media here’s Brett was offered 20 million dollars over 10 years, and that somehow turns into the Packers are trying to pay him not to play and stay retired?
I HATE the media! I bet when this is done, and Packers explain that, they either never made the offer, or made an offer in lines with what I’m talking about above. Yet the media twists that into whatever makes the most hysterical twist to the already horrible situation.

Yeah, I can understand that. If the media doesn't have the facts, they will make them up.
I hope this is settled soon. I'm sick of hearing about it.

It would appear that the commissioner wants to give the Packers a fair chance at closing this out, as he held off the reinstatement again. I would be willing to bet that if Favre isn’t being a complete prick about playing elsewhere, this could be done by tomorrow.
I find it interesting that Brett was given to very viable options with Tampa and NY, and he’s baulking at both. Most recently NY appears to be at least talking to Buss Cook. I hope he goes to NY, but Tampa appears to be the team that TT wants to pluck the player from. I’m not sure Tampa wants to move the “unnamed player”, but I’d bet it’s a defensive lineman. Tampa has a very good defense.
I really hope TT addresses that DT in this trade with whomever the team is.

The talk here in Chicago on this evening's local news is that Favre is going to go to the Vikings or here to Chicago since he balked at the Jets and Tampa. More media hype...

Exactly what I said, a personal services contract with Brett Favre. The media should be held accountable for this kind of BS. |

"Exactly what I said, a personal services contract with Brett Favre"
Yeah, conditional upon him staying way and or keeping his mouth shut about what is really going on. Which is why IT IS A BRIBE!
What did you expect the contract to say? We the GB Packeres hereby BRIBE Brett Favre to stay away?
You can't be that naive, I mean is it humanly possible to be that naive? Suddenly out of the blue they want to pay a guy 20 million? This offer has nothing to do with keeping him away? You can't be that naive?
