I'm sorry, but the argument for the jets (and AGAINST the Packers) is just plain weak. And just because I can see things a certain doesn't make me wrong.
My personal preference is not being able to stand the jets and their big-mouthed, lard-butted HC. The team stands on it's record and in the end that's all that will matter.
"You guy's can't possibly believe that because the Packers scored 9 points while the Jets dropped 11 passes on their way to self destructing, that the Packers are actually the better football team?"
A- If they ARE so freeking good, why did they drop ELEVEN?
(BTW, we dropped plenty of passes in that too! And not only in that game, but we had like 3 weeks of Rodgers and his offense not clicking.)
"The Jets look like a team that actually could belong in the Playoffs, the Packer play like some weird conveluted bulls*&^t everyweek while the faithful can't realize the facade is all but over."
A- It's a shame that SOME people can't actually see the forrest for the trees! Overall, the Packers are a better team than the Jets. ***AND THAT IS WITH A TON OF INJURIES TO STARTERS ... but it's not being used as any excuse***
Face it ... the Packers are on the rise, while the Jets are headed downhill.
BTW: the sports media is describing New England
as being "just Brady, Belichick and 'Smoke and Mirrors'" ... NOT the Packers! LOL
OK .... so ....
1- Why are the Jets now even in close games to begin with?
.. 1st game in week 1 was a 9-10 loss against Baltimore ... only scored 3 FGs.
.. Against the Lions (win) 23-20 (OT)
.. Aginst the Browns (win) 26-20 (OT)
2- How did they get blanked at their own home field? It's a new stadium, it's LOUD and all the Jets fans are coming to watch their team this year because GOD KNOWS they are going to win the Super Bowl. Just ask ANYONE (who is a jets fan). Sheesh!!
3- Why is it, that after spending tons of money on FAs for the betterment of the team over the past 2 years, that they still don't dominate other teams and are only slightly better than last season?
4- Is a team who was 1st in points allowed last year and currently 3rd, seriously expected to be a playoff team, let alone a SB contender?
Look, The Jets won bigger (against the arguably better teams) in the begining of the season before most teams start getting their feet under them ... but they have gone down-hill quickly since we blanked them. Using how many games a given team has won TO DATE doesn't correspond to what their record was when they were actually PLAYED!
The beginning of the Jets season actually looked like this week to week:
Ravens were 0-0, Patriots 1-0, Miami 2-0, Buffalo 0-3, Vikings 1-2, Broncos 2-3.
All of a sudden it doesn't look like they were playing any REAL competition, does it?
From looking like Ryan was right, to:
Packers blank you at home.
Against the Lions, an overtime game won by a 30 yard FG.
Against the Browns, a long pass against blown overage in OT.
The Lions, while being improved and playing harder this year (so far), are still not a team that puts fear into the hearts of other teams. This year, they seem to be playing up or down to the level of their competition, but they are still losers.
The last game against Cleveland was destined to be a TIE until the final 30 seconds of the game. The win? It sure didn't come from the great coaching or high level of play, it was because of stupidity on the part of the Browns' players. The Browns are a team with a rookie QB, an O-line that looks worse than ours did in the beginning of last season, 1 really legit receiver and a mediocre running game. Overall, it's a pretty bad team.
T, you haven't been able to see anything good with this team all season, that is a real shame.
Have a good one
