It's a lot of Italian not just to say but to know what everyone else is saying at every moment for the entire opera. I hate to say this, but that is rarely the case.
Maybe at the next level doing it in Italian would be a good idea but for this program I think they are better off doing it in Italian (and I suspect their audience will enjoy it more in English as well).
